Gear Box Pro SLP Series are 2U - 19 rack mount, 3-5/8” deep, high voltage power distribution products. Mounting these units on the rear rack rails behind equipment in the rack saves premium (front) vertical rack space. All SLS Series Products use Torque (Veam style) multi-pin connectors and genuine Neutrik connectors.
SL Series:
Welcome to the Gear Box Pro Ltd. Audio and Power Slim Line family of products. The Gear Box Pro SLP Series is a 2U rack mountable high voltage power distribution product. The model # represents four attributes of the product. SL is an acronym for Slim Line because the metal enclosure is only 3 5/8” or 92mm deep. Mounting on rear rack rails behind equipment in the rack saves premium (front) vertical rack space. All SLS Series Products use Torque (Veam style) multi-pin connectors and genuine Neutrik connectors.
SLP Series:
Within SLP, the P represents power and within the numeric part of the model number the first numeric digit represents the phase (2 = single phase / 3 = three phase) and the next two numeric digits are simply successive product number identifiers.
SLP Series - Special features:
In the line drawing above, you will see that the enclosure is only 3 5/8” or 92mm deep. This is half of the depth of traditional high voltage rack mount power distribution units. All Gear Box Pro power products are constructed with stainless steel enclosures applying Lexan decals instead of the traditional silk screen painted metal. The graphics are laminated underneath the Lexan for a bullet proof product, unlike silk screen that eventually rubs off over time. Genuine HUBBELL electrical components are used for best durability. Our custom hydraulic magnetic breaker meets the most demanding entertainment production requirements. Unlike conventional thermal magnetic breakers, our breakers are less susceptible to temperature and humidity changes which makes the Gear Box products excellent for HOT summer days and COLD outdoor winter production events. These breakers will not only maintain their trip rating, when exposed to extreme temperature and humidity, but they also have a slow trip (curve) rating to handle high in rush currents during amplifier turn on periods.
The SLP-233 provides the highest density power distribution solution. This unit places the outlets on the top and bottom of the enclosure as opposed to exiting the back or rear of the unit, enabling cables to exit at 90 degrees to the power inlet connector. This leaves the back or rear of the unit free of electrical plugs and their cabling obstructing the cabling entering equipment mounted opposite the power bar.
This product is best suited for FOH effects racks.
Series:
Within the SLS, the S represents Speaker for speaker cable / amp rack patching. The numeric digits that follow reflect the number NL8 connectors and if followed by the letter “D”, the NL8’s will have a second NL8 connector wired in parallel.
Note: The SLS Series product can be ordered with a custom length 8 conductor blunt cut cable exiting either the top or bottom of the enclosure for each NL8 group of connectors. This is a great option when wiring to terminal strips on install grade amplifiers. The SLS Series incorporates the Cable Cube wiring of a DISTRO/MATRIX unit in a convenient 2U rack panel. The SLS-2 & 3 place the NL4 full range speaker break out connectors on the front panel with the NL8 and Bi-amp NL4's on the rear panel. The SLS-4 & 4D as well as the SLS-6 & 6D reverse mount the connectors in the enclosure. The SLS-Series can be special ordered w/blunt cut speaker cables exiting the top of the enclosure. If these units require the cable to exit the bottom of the enclosure, the unit can be built loading the components upside down along with the appropriate custom decal. The SLS-4D & 6D has a double or parallel connected pair of NL8 connectors on the front panel. This feature allows a second stage box speaker feeder cable to be patched into the same amplifier channels.
The SLP-231 is a 2U high 19" rack mount 220 Volt 30 amp single phase power distribution bar. This model has a NEMA L15-30 for a Main Inlet connector with a paralleled Outlet (pass through) connector for daisy connectivity of racks. There are two 20 Amp electrical circuit breakers on the front panel, each of which are connected to one of the two ( X & Y ) phases of the main power inlet connector.
Each circuit breaker is connected to a pair of T-slot U-ground duplex receptacle outlets located on the rear panel. The same two independent circuit breakers distribute power from each phase of the inlet connector to each half of the split T-slot duplex convenience outlet on the front panel.
The SLP-232 is a 2U high 19" rack mount 220 Volt 30 amp single phase power distribution bar. This model has a NEMA L15-30 for a Main Inlet connector.
There are two 20 Amp electrical circuits connected to each of the two ( X & Y ) phases of the main power inlet connector. Each of the four circuit breakers supply a T-slot U-ground duplex receptacle located on the rear panel. Two of the four independent circuit breakers distribute power from each phase of the inlet connector to each half of the split T-slot duplex convenience outlet on the front panel.
The SLP-233 is a 2U high 19" rack mount 220 Volt 30 amp single phase power distribution bar. This model has a NEMA L15-30 for a Main Inlet connector. There are four 20 Amp circuit breakers on the front panel.
All four of these circuits are available on the top of the box and parallel connected two t-slot duplex receptacles on the bottom of the box for a total of four circuits accessible on both top and bottom of the box.
The rear panel has no outlets but a convenient label is provided for easy identification when viewing the rear panel. Two of the four independent circuit breakers distribute power, one from each phase of the inlet connector to each half of the split T-slot duplex convenience outlet on the front panel.
The SLP-234 is a 2U high 19" rack mount 220 Volt 30 amp single phase power distribution bar. This model has a NEMA L15-30 for a Main Inlet connector. There are two 20 Amp electrical circuit breakers on the front panel each of which are connected to one of the two ( X & Y ) phases of the main power inlet connector.
Each breaker independently distributes power to a T-slot duplex U-ground receptacle on the rear panel which is also parallel connected to one half of the split T-slot duplex U-ground convenience receptacle located on the front panel. In addition there are two NEMA L5-30 single twist-lock outlet connectors located on the rear panel, each of which are independently connected directly to each ( X & Y ) phase of the L15-30 Main Inlet connector.
The SLP-235 is a 2U high 19" rack mount 220 Volt 30 amp single phase power distribution bar. This model has a NEMA L15-30 for a Main Inlet connector. There are four 20 Amp electrical circuit breakers on the front panel, two of these breakers are connected to the ‘X’ phase and two to the ‘Y’ phase of the main power inlet connector. Each breaker independently distributes power to each half of a pair of split T-slot duplex U-ground receptacle for a total of four independent circuits or outlets on the rear panel. The X2 and Y2 breakers also distribute power, one to each half of the split T-slot duplex U-ground convenience receptacle located on the front panel.
In addition there are two NEMA L5-30 single twist-lock outlet connectors located on the rear panel, each of which are independently connected directly to each ( X & Y ) phase of the L15-30 Main Inlet connector.

The SLP-236 is a 2U high 19" rack mount 220 Volt 30 amp single phase power distribution bar. This model has a NEMA L15-30 for a Main Inlet connector. There is one double 15 Amp breaker and two single 20 Amp breakers located on the front panel. The double 15 Amp breaker distribute power to a duplex 220 Volt 15 Amp twist lock connector that is also connected to a split T-slot duplex U-ground receptacle.
Both outlets connected to this double 15 Amp breaker are located on the rear panel. Each of the remaining two 20 Amp single breakers are connected to one of the two phases ( X & Y ) of the main power inlet connector and distribute power to a T-slot duplex U-ground receptacle located on the rear panel. The same two 20 Amp X2 and Y2 breakers also distribute power, one to each half of the split T-slot duplex U-ground convenience receptacle located on the front panel.

The SLP-237 is a 2U high 19" rack mount 220 Volt 30 amp single phase power distribution bar. This model has a NEMA L15-30 for a Main Inlet connector. There are two double 15 amp breakers and two single 20 Amp breakers located on the front panel. Both of the double 15 Amp breakers independently supply power to duplex twist-lock outlets located on the rear panel.
Each of the remaining two 20 Amp single breakers are connected to one of the two ( X & Y ) phases of the main power inlet connector and distribute power to T-slot duplex U-ground receptacles located on the rear panel. The same two 20 Amp breakers supply power to one half of a split T-slot duplex U-ground convenience receptacle located on the front panel. This unit provides independent circuit protection for dual power supplies used on professional touring mixing consoles.
The SLP-238 is a 2U high 19" rack mount 220 Volt 30 amp single phase power distribution bar. This model has a NEMA L15-30 for a Main Inlet connector. There are six independent 20 amp breakers located on the front panel. Each of the X1, X2, Y1 & Y2 breakers distribute power to four T-slot duplex U-ground receptacles located on the rear panel.
The remaining X3 & Y3 breakers distribute power to a split T-slot duplex U-ground convenience receptacle located on the front panel.
The SLP-MP2 is a 2U high 19" rack mount Motor Power Distribution unit for two chain motors. This unit uses a NEMA L21-30 (208 Volt 30 amp three phase) power inlet connector. There is a convenient phase reverse switch that globally affects the two independent 3 Pole breakers that distribute power to each of the two 9 pin Female Chassis SOCA motor connectors. Each Motor SOCA output is connected to a 3 Pin Female XLR connector for the remote motor controller. The rear panel is blank, allowing the unit to be racked behind other equipment without creating obstructions. This unit is very useful for speaker line arrays or smaller lighting trusses on A/V presentations when a 6 or 8 channel motor controller is more than required. Loading one in each amp rack is a convenient packaging solution for truss and speakers, stage left and stage right.
The SLP-335 is a 2U high 19" rack mount (220 Volt 30 amp three phase) power distribution bar. This model has a NEMA L21-30 for a Main Inlet connector. There are four 20 Amp independent circuit breakers on the front panel, each of which are connected to one of the three phases ( X, Y & Z ) of the main power inlet connector.
The X2 & Y2 Phase breakers distribute power to a split T-slot duplex U-ground receptacle located on the rear panel and Y1 & Z1 distribute power to a split T-slot duplex U-ground receptacle located on the rear panel which is also parallel connected to a split T-slot duplex U-ground convenience receptacle located on the front panel. In addition there are three NEMA L5-30 single twist-lock 120 Volt, 30 Amp outlet connectors located on the rear panel. Each of these are directly connected to one of the three ( X, Y & Z ) phases of the L21-30 Main Inlet connector.
The SLP-337 is a 2U high 19" rack mount (220 Volt 30 amp three phase) power distribution bar.
The SLP-338 is a 2U high 19" rack mount (220 Volt, 30 Amp, three phase) power distribution bar. This model has a NEMA L21-30 for a Main Inlet connector. There are six independent 20 amp breakers located on the front panel.
Each of the X1 & Y1 breakers distribute power to a T-slot duplex U-ground receptacle located on the rear panel. In addition, the X2 & Y2 breakers distribute power to a split T-slot duplex U-ground receptacle located on the rear panel which is also parallel connected to a split T-slot duplex U-ground convenience receptacle located on the front panel. The remaining two 20 Amp breakers, Z1 & Z2, on the third phase, distribute power to a split T-slot duplex U-ground receptacle located on the rear panel.
The SLS-2 is a speaker cable splitter/combiner patch panel, primarily for installation amplifier racks. Using Neutrik speaker cable jumpers, the amplifier outputs conveniently patch into the front panel. The outputs on the rear panel then combine channels 1 & 2 into a single NL4 connector providing a Bi-amp output marked 1-2. This is repeated for channels A 3-4, B 1-2 and B 3-4. Each of these Bi-amp NL4 outputs are then combined together in their respective A & B groupings, into a single NL8 connector that can be used to feed an 8 conductor cable with an NL8FC connector allowing flexible patching of 4 full range or two Bi-amp NL4 output connectors in a stage box, by moving a single NL8 connection. An amplifier rack that has four 2 channel amplifiers with Bi-amp NL4 connector outputs when patched into the rear panel, provide all 8 full range amp channels on the front panel.
An alternative use of the SLS-2 is to take an NL8 patch cable from a four channel amplifier that uses an NL8 connector for its output and patch it into one of the SLS-2 rear panel NL8 connectors which then split or fan out into four separate NL4 connectors (Pin 1+ & 1- only) on the front panel for full range speaker cable connectivity.
The SLS-4 & 4D are a speaker cable splitter/combiner patch panels for portable and installation amplifier racks. The SLS-4 is essentially an SLS-2 with the connectors placed on the opposite sides or panels of the enclosure. Using Neutrik speaker cable jumpers, the amplifier outputs conveniently patch into the rear panel. The output or front panel then combines channels 1 & 2 into a single NL4 connector providing a Bi-amp output marked 1-2. This is repeated for channels A 3-4, B 1-2 and B 3-4. Each of these Bi-amp NL4 outputs are then combined together in their respective A & B groupings, into a single NL8 connector that can be used to feed an 8 conductor cable with an NL8FC connector allowing flexible patching of 4 full range or two Bi-amp NL4 output connectors in a stage box, by moving a single NL8 connection. The SLS-4D has a parallel connected NL8 that enables the user to patch a second Stage Box NL8FC cable connection into the same amplifier outputs.
The SLS-6 is a speaker cable splitter/combiner patch panel for portable and installation amplifier racks. The SLS-6 is an SLS-3 with the connectors placed on the opposite sides or panels of the enclosure. The SLS-6 is essentially three Cable Cube DISTRO/MATRIX units in a 2U rack mount panel. Using Neutrik speaker cable jumpers, the amplifier outputs conveniently patch into the rear panel. The output or front panel then combines channels A1 & A2 into a single NL4 connector providing a Bi-amp output marked 1-2. This is repeated for channels A 3-4, B 1-2, B 3-4 C 1-2 & C 3-4. Each of these Bi-amp NL4 outputs are then combined together in their respective A,B & C groupings, into a single NL8 connector that can be used to feed an 8 conductor cable with an NL8FC connector allowing flexible patching of 4 full range or two Bi-amp NL4 output connectors in a stage box, by moving a single NL8 connection. The SLS-6D has a parallel connected NL8 that enables the user to patch a second Stage Box NL8FC cable connection into the same amplifier outputs.
An alternative use of the SLS-6 is to take an NL8 patch cable from a four channel amplifier that has an NL8 output and patch it into one of the front panel NL8 connectors that fan out into four separate NL4 connectors, (Pin 1+ & 1- only) for 4 full range speakers for each group.
